Kedarnath Temple, located in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayas at 3,583 meters, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a key pilgrimage site in the Char Dham and Chota Char Dham Yatra. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is believed to have been originally built by the Pandavas and later restored by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. The temple is accessible via a 16-kilometer trek from Gaurikund or by helicopter services. Open from May to November, it attracts thousands of devotees. During winter, the idol is moved to Ukhimath.
